As prophesised, Raven Software have indeed nerfed the trucks. According to their patch notes, they’ve reduced the number that spawn around the map. This should mean they’ll be a bit easier to whittle down over the course of a match. Other changes include adjustments to popular weapons the CR-56 AMAX, FARA, and LW3-Tundra. Some mid-range optics have also been reworked too, which should make them more viable. Turns out that it’s not humans with guns who pose the biggest threat in Call Of Duty: Warzone, it’s actually the trucks....

I clearly should have saved that description for Cloud Gardens. It’s a similarly chill urban design game, but here you’re planting, growing and, yes, pruning plants across dioramas of urban decay. It’s now hit 1.0 and left early access, too. Cloud Gardens has a six-chapter campaign where you have to strike a balance between “the natural and the manufactured”. That means that you start by dropping seeds to start some plants growing, but then also unlock junky objects to dot around your scene....

Not all the first impressions are bad. Arriving at the main menu I’m greeted by a big orchestral score, choirs quickly kicking in giving it their all. It’s a bit rote, but an honest-to-God attempt to grab you by the shoulders and wheel you around the room making big swooshing space ship noises. It feels like the composer, Pedro Camacho, is very earnestly asking, “Isn’t this exciting?!”, with huge swelling horns and string arrangements, and it immediately put a smile on my face....

Admittedly, PCs more than five years old may still struggle a bit with Crysis Remastered, as the minimum GPU requirements on Epic’s store page state you’ll need at least a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 470, both of which came out in late 2016. As a result, anyone still rocking an older GTX 970 or an R9 290, for example, may well find their PCs within that famed melting point - even though both GPUs are technically a bit faster than the GTX 1050 Ti and RX 470....

Studio MDHR co-founders Chad and Jared Moldenhauer explained in yesterday’s statement: The Delicious Last Course was originally due in 2019, when MDHR announced it in 2018, but they later delayed it into 2020. Toem has wrbl-wrbl voices, and wobbly onscreen text, and pipes you jump into, and tunnelling screen transitions, and a happy cast of oddballs to help. It looks light and charming and fun - and then, the photography adds its own flavour to things....

Sackboy: A Big Adventure originally released for PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2020, and is a spin-off from the LittleBigPlanet series. The platformer follows the adventures, natch, of Sackboy, double-natch, as he runs and jumps around Craftworld in his efforts to stop Richard E. Grant. Dawn French is in it too. Our sister site Eurogamer’s review of A Big Adventure for PS5 called the game a “joyous explosion of colour and charm”, which makes it sound like it’s worth a look....

It’s tempting to dwell on this one fact, because it makes us, as players, the wronged party of Cyberpunk 2077’s development. Probably that should still be the developers who worked months of 13 hour days, though. The report is interesting if somewhat par for the course. Employees of CD Projekt Red told Bloomberg in the report of “a development process marred by unchecked ambition, poor planning and technical shortcomings.” They also discuss how the consequences of these issues led to some being pressured into working “extensive overtime,” as has been reported previously....

“The save file size limit might be increased in one of the future patches, but the corrupted files will remain that way,” a support page says. While CDPR don’t give hard numbers, some players report that saves become slow to load at 6MB, then past 8MB they become corrupted and won’t even load. While save file size should grow naturally as you do more in the game, it seems crafting in particular can push them to dangerous sizes....

During a Q&A, developers SandBloom Studio said that part of the idea behind De Exit is to show the different ways that people think about death. They compare it to the Pixar film Coco in that, in this version of the afterlife, you aren’t truly dead as long as someone in the living world remembers you. De-Exit doesn’t have any combat, and focuses more on exploration, puzzle-solving and stealth. This is one of those games where the hero isn’t a fighter, and makes their way through the world by being smart and sneaky instead....
