Blasphemous’ New Game+ has a few extra challenges for you to face, should you choose to accept them. For starters, NG+ is called True Torment Mode, and increases all enemy attack damage. You’ll be able to do more damage to them in return, however, and you’ll start this playthrough with all the helpful stuff you collected from your first fun, so you’ll have a slight one-up on those baddies. If you fancy pushing yourself even further, when you first go into NG+ you’ll now have the option to take on a Penitence....

Troy, as you might expect, covers the Trojan War off of the Iliad, and is therefore set earlier than any other Total War game so far. When exactly? It’s hard to say, since modern knowledge of Mediterranean history is murky enough that we can’t even be certain there was a Trojan War to begin with. However, fourteen years after the game originally launched on Xbox 360, I’m starting to think that Dead Rising is aging like a fine wine. A recent replay (on the Steam Deck, no less, where I’m thrilled to report it runs perfectly out of the box) revealed a game that feels as fresh today as it did all the way back in 2006. Unsure of his place in the world, he looks to his creator for answers, but his creator is kidnapped by an off colour version of Fark. A fake of a faker if you will. I find this particularly amusing because it’s blatantly a parody of this moment from Sonic Adventure 2....

My cruel predicament in Stardew is that really I would prefer not to be a farmer at all. Inasmuch as there can ever be a wrong way to play a game, I play Stardew Valley wrong, because I strive not for economic efficiency (thank god you don’t have to do crop rotation) but efficiency of activity. To whit: I cannot be bothered to keep tilling and planting and so on....

Those new spells certainly come in handy, as Maritte finds herself fired up (hehe, geddit?) and ready to fight through this Paper Mario-style tactical RPG. Along with some of Saf’s old friends, you explore the titular school and surrounding areas, searching for clues that might help unravel the mystery. Ikenfell has challenging combat and lots of little secrets hidden in its 8-bit world, but it’s the loveable bunch of pals (both allies and rivals) that really made me smile....

In this case, the alleged “most favoured nation” policies relate to part of the agreement sellers sign with Valve when releasing a game on the Steam store. These policies state that publishers must offer their game on Steam for the best price it’s available elsewhere. The parties in the anti-trust suit argue this stops them from offering games cheaper elsewhere, thus stifling competition with Steam. The suit also alleges that Steam’s 30% fee for releasing a game on Steam is substantially more than Valve’s costs, and that this high price is maintained due to Steam’s high market share....
