In their battle pass trailer for Chapter 2 - Season 3, Epic Games teased that players will soon be able to drive vehicles around the map. The trucks, cars, ice cream vans, and police cars that were once immovable material fodder around the map will soon be operable. That feature hasn’t made it to the game yet, but it’s been preceded by another car-related change. Kotaku reported last week that players had started to notice police vehicles were nowhere to be seen in game....

Brown credits the Maverick moniker to a word that kept cropping up during his performance appraisals while working at Playground. Frog Detective 2 left us on a 3-year cliff hanger with a mysterious call from the Supervisor. He told us that Frog Detective needs to hop on a train to an undisclosed location to solve “a doozy” of a case in what possibly may be the most challenging mystery that our green friend has ever faced. No information, no details, all super-secret and ruddy mysterious to boot. Even Lobster Cop has been summoned to help out with the case, and he’s the number one best detective in the world!...

Even so, it’s hard to get tired of another neon-tinted chromescape when it tears by in a blur of kickflips and decapitations Ghostrunner, in short, is a first-person parkour ’em up in the vein of Titanfall 2 or Mirror’s Edge - one that’s more or (arguably) less violent depending on which one you started from. See, you’ve got a big ol’ sword and some supernatural powers, and Ghostrunner’s platforming gauntlets are punctuated by tense showdowns with armed goons....

Google revealed they were working on bringing Google Play Games to Windows in December last year. The beta has been running for a while in selected regions, with Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Australia added back in August. You can’t just download individual Android games to your computer, though, as everything runs through a dedicated app Google’s cooked up. In a post on their Android developers blog, Google indicate that more regions will be added to the beta soon....

WB’s announcement is a pretty brief one, saying simply: They don’t specifically mention Covid-19, but the challenges of working during the pandemic have been a common theme with the many games delayed during the last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s part of the underlying cause. Gotham Knights was one of RPS’s most anticipated action games of 2021. With a cast of Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing, the Arkham-like action game is looking quite focused on co-op....

I’ve since realised the errors of my ways, and I quite fancy the chance to correct my previous wrongs via the Gothic 1 remake. There’s a new trailer for it and its big modern hole below. It only makes sense that I be interested given I am in the game. The Gothic Remake has had a slightly odd development so far. THQ Nordic offered up a prototype in 2020 and asked players if they liked it enough to justify THQ Nordic continuing to work on it....
