The survey asks players to rank their level of interest on a 10-point scale for a range of features. A big area Frost asks about is relationships between Sims. One interesting option is new relationship types, for which the survey gives “bromances” as an example. The concept of a bromance feels a bit regressive but perhaps there are other true-to-life relationship types being tossed about alongside it. Other possibilities are Sims outside the played household being able to propose marriage, a shared relationship history between Sims where past events like big fights will affect their ability to be close again, and shared experiences where certain Sims often do the same activities together like becoming “brunch buddies....

The refresh rate slider – which lives in the Performance tab of the Steam Deck’s Quick Settings menu – functions pretty much as it did in beta. You can adjust it on the fly, including while a game is running, and is useful for games that don’t run at up to 60fps anyway. Lowering the refresh rate for these won’t lose you any performance, but it will reduce the screen’s power-hungriness....

The anonymous creator of Ultimate Immersion, the mod in question, is clearly really into PC gaming. Torchlight 3’s third and final location was revealed in a trailer this week, taking the game’s steampunk mechs and train-wizards to the dusty corridors and lofty peaks of the abandoned dwarf fortress of Mount Echonok. The lower halls of Echonok are plagued by Dwarven automatons, walking furnaces built from bronze that still guard the abandoned homes of their short masters. So far, so Skyrim. But as you hack n’ slash n’ loot your way up the mountainside, you’ll be greeted by the more unfamiliar Vultura - a race of mutated bird-folk scavengers who are big into body-modding....

In the patch notes, Riot say the whole point of Split’s update is to “improve attacker options”, open up those pesky choke points, and do away with a bunch of those 50/50 angles (entryways with a corner on each side that defenders can hide in). Some of the best changes revolve around the map’s B Site. As you can see from the before and after pics above, the main choke point from Garage is a whole lot wider, making it easier for attackers to push through....
When I first saw the image of her the devs revealed yesterday, I was convinced she was going to be Scottish or Irish. You’ll imagine my surprise at hearing her thick Australian accent.
