Dirt 5 is joining Microsoft’s game subscription service on February 25th. It’s only a few months old, having released in November 2020, which means it’s newer than a lot of the big games that come to the platform. It’s new enough that I wonder if some folks who bought it might be a little sore now they know they could play it for the cost of a one month subscription....

Evaluating how user-repairable it might be, they did wish the battery was easier to remove but overall managed to put it back together just fine and seemed to dig it....

You generally know what you’re getting into with a Falcom game (unless you’re attempting to untangle the politics behind the Tales Of titles, in which case I’ll send your next of kin a consolatory ham). If you pick up Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, for instance, you can expect to enjoy a rock-solid JRPG adventure game alongside the red-haired adventurer Adol Christin. In fact, if you’re a fan of action RPGs, I’d say the Ys series is a must-play, and Ys IX is as good a place to start as any....

The story of Gorgon will involve some miracle drug called Adrena-Time that’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Based on a quick health check when you arrive on the asteroid, it sounds like folks are experiencing paranoia, hallucinations, and eventually turning into murderous marauders. There are some other new bits aside from the story that Obsidian point out during the walkthrough. Audio logs can now be found around the world to help tell the story of folks on Gorgon who aren’t around anymore....

I’m not just talking about games that belong to the horror genre, either. In fact, spare those asymmetrical multiplayer games that are all the rage with their worryingly young audiences, there are few actual horror games that let you assume the role of the villain. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a deluge of titles where you play as a creature so vile, so menacing, that the residents of their worlds undoubtly view the player as evil incarnate....

A few players chimed in to say they’d found ways to shake the UI off their cursor, like zoning out of the area or opening the marketboard and clicking register.
