Warpips seems to fit my needs. It’s a tug-of-war strategy game that’s just entered early access, in which you build a squad, spawn units, and push towards an enemy’s base without much direct control over your units themselves. I’ve played it for half an hour and had a good time, and you can see it in action in a trailer below. That trailer sold me on it instantly. That it’s £10/$12/€12 helped....

Warzone 2.0 won’t be replacing the original, at least for the time being, which is a welcome surprise given the tendency of F2P titles to frequently see old content overwritten in order to make way for whatever’s coming next. This hints that 2.0 is likely to have a quite different feel than its predecessor, thanks to being built on the same new architecture developed to support MW2. Normally, you’ll get one guaranteed Juggernaut suit in Warzone if you complete a special easter egg which involves having a gander at paintings and inputting codes in the map’s subway system. Well, the thrifty fella over on YouTube channel Cable711 found a simple way to duplicate the suit by collecting it alongside a scorestreak, then relying on some timing related magic. To perform the exploit, you need to activate the Juggernaut while you’re picking up a killstreak at the same time....

If you didn’t watch our coverage of The PC Gaming Show 2020, let me tell you how this is going to work. So, we’ll be going live 20 minutes before the show kicks off to speculate on whether or not EA will announce a new Saboteur or WCW Mayhem. Then, the two of us will shut our traps while the show is actually happening. After EA finishes up their (probably) hourish-long presentation with a 15 minute demo of Mass Effect Andromeda 2, The Vidbuds will be back on-screen to go through the entirety of the show....

Gamescom: Opening Night Live will start at 7pm UK time (11am Pacific) then run until 9pm (1pm Pacific). A pre-show will start 30 minutes beforehand, dunno if it’ll be worth watching though. We do already know some of the games on show. Perhaps I’m being a bit harsh on the earlier Blues – the WD Blue SN550 actually made it into our best SSDs for gaming rankings, and laid the groundwork for this new model with higher read/write speeds than you might expect from an affordable SSD. Still, the SN570 asserts even greater ambition, claiming maximum sequential read and write speeds of 3500MB/s and 3000MB/s respectively on the 1TB model. The 1TB SN550?...
