If We Have To Have A Million New Star Wars Games Let Them Be Made By Respawn

Point is, I’m mostly just pleased that Respawn are still around to make games featuring robots that surprise and delight us. And if they’re not allowed to do Titanfall 3, Star Wars is at least a rich field to till said robots. Lousy with robots, is Star Wars. But honestly, if anyone is going to make Star Wars games (apart from BioWare, who have spent recent years making Dragon Age 4 and / or collapsing like a magnificent neutron star) then I’d root for Respawn....

Impossible Arena Shooter Spaceflux Hits Steam Early Access

Oh, and there’s a gun that fires sofas at people. All things considered, I reckon that’s one of the more mundane parts of this outrageous installation. Spaceflux actually showed up on these pages in a Screenshot Saturday Sundays post back in August. The antithesis of the closed corridors that make up most arena shooter maps, Ardelean’s maps are impossible nightmares - folding in on themselves, wrapping around their own edges as the ground falls into the sky....

In Gta Online F1 Cars Really Can Drive Upside Down

While F1 races don’t start until this week, the first F1 car arrived on Thursday as the podium prize on the Diamond Casino’s lucky wheel. I scored one and generally had a great time pootling around Los Santos. I don’t play F1 racing games but I do half-want to after feeling quite how nimble those cars are. And after seeing they can drive on the ceiling. Which they can. Like this: The boost isn’t strictly necessary but I do find it it handy to get started bumping up onto the walls....

Indie Horror Showcase Eek3 Goes Bump Again Tonight

This year’s EEK3 was pushed back from August 19th to today due to a team member’s illness with Covid-19. In a rather responsible move for a talking horror-obsessed skeleton, Skully said: “Working while having covid is very dangerous. People need to put their health as first priority.” Good on you, Haunted PS1. You can expect to see plenty of retro-themed games with a 90s or 2000s feel at the showcase....

Inkle Studios Next Game Is An Arthurian Story

The next teaser that Inkle have given us today is still just a bunch of words, but this time they deliver a setting and the beginnings of a plot. They’ve tweeted it out as an image with text so here’s the transcription for anyone who can’t see the image above: I do feel vindicated that what I felt was my unimaginative gut reaction to the seven words Inkle tweeted earlier in the month has turned out to be correct....

Inscryption S Free Mini Expansion Is Out Now

Kaycee’s Mod is naturally unlocked after beating the game, or you can jack in with a cheat code: Shift+K+M on the Start Menu screen. Then, you’re ready for roguelikelike runs. “Apply different skulls to your run to ascend the Challenge Levels,” the launch announcement explained. “Reaching new levels unlocks new cards, challenges, and dev logs inscribed by the late Kaycee Hobbes as she uncovered the secrets on the disk.” The mode has been in opt-in open beta testing since December, being tweaked and patched along the way, and now it’s finished and live for everyone....

Into The Breach Advanced Edition Adds New Mechs Missions And Enemies Next Month

Here’s a brief trailer announcing the release: Into The Breach is a turn-based strategy game about wielding mechs to defend Earth from insectoid alien invaders. What makes it compelling is that you get clear warning of any move the enemy is about to make, giving you the opportunity to do something about it. Big mollusc about to knock a skyscraper over? Use a robot to shove it aside so it misses and pushes its own big beetle pal instead....

It S Off To Canada For Microsoft Flight Simulator S World Update 11

I’ve always wanted to go to Canada, but this World Update looks like it might be the next best thing. Twelve Canadian cities have been zhuzhed up with photogrammetry. They include Halifax, Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, and Vancouver. There’s also 87 more points of interest, ranging from Nova Scotia’s Seal Island Bridge to Quebec’s impressive Chateau Frontenac and Olympic stadium. It’s possible to fly over the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa too, and you can take off and land at five more airports....

Jk Rowling Not Directly Involved With Hogwarts Legacy Warner Bros Assert

Announced earlier this week, Hogwarts Legacy is arguably the stonking great wizarding RPG Potterheads have wanted since the credits rolled on Deathly Hallows. Unfortunately, in the decade-plus gap between the final book and game’s announcement, author JK Rowling has come out with some pretty garbage beliefs regarding trans folks (like myself), ramping up with her latest pseudonym-penned crime novel featuring a cross-dressing serial killer earlier this month. Of course, Rowling is somewhat famous for being extremely hands-on with her IP....

King S Bounty 2 Looks Surprisingly Like A Modern Rpg

Weird, no? It’s always been part-RPG, of course, but the shift from doing that in the same top-down view as battles to a more modern free-roaming way makes it look quite different. KB2 also looks weird to me because I know the series as big blasts of daft japes, krakens, cute pet dragons, moody husbands, wacky drama, zombie wives, and fights inside belts from 1C’s noughties games like King’s Bounty: The Legend and Armored Princess....

Kingdom Hearts 3 Lucky Emblem Locations

Lucky Emblems Lucky Emblems are introduced after you get the Gummiphone in Twilight Town. There are still lucky Emblems in the areas before this, though you will need to double back to get them. To collect them, you just need to take a photo of them using your Gummiphone. Press the touchpad on PS4, or the Change View button on Xbox One. As you can see in the image below, there will be a box around the emblem, which will turn yellow once you’re at the right angle....

Kojima Productions Tease Their Next Game And Actor Elle Fanning S In It

Fanning is known for starring in director Nicholas Winding Refn’s psychological horror movie about the fashion industry, The Neon Demon. Winding Refn and Kojima have worked together for Kojima’s Death Stranding – Refn was the model for the character Heartman – so there’s a connection there. We already know from Kojima’s proclamation at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June that his company’s working on a new game, and that it’ll be for Microsoft....

Kynseed Review A Promising Rpg But Not All Its Promises Are Fulfilled

Kynseed is an RPG, and a life sim, and a sandbox. It is also Cooking Mama, and Moonlighter, and a dungeon crawler. It is gentle vibes ASMR relax-and-watch-the-seasons-change, and also crass and knowingly subversive. It does some of these things excellently, while other parts just don’t hold up. You begin your adventure as a child who - together with your sibling - gets adopted by a benevolent uncle and rescued from your life of poverty with The Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe (you know, the one with so many children she didn’t know what to do)....

Lawyer Demands Over 100 Million In Compensation For Activision Blizzard Harassment Victims

When Christine complained to supervisors, she said she was told the alleged harassers were “just joking”. She adds that she was told not to go to HR, and after complaining she was demoted, further harassed, and received minimal raises during her time at Blizzard. “We are here because sexual harassment victims at Activision Blizzard have been ignored,” said attorney Lisa Bloom. “They are still suffering, and it’s time that they are prioritised....

Legion War Is The Perfect Summer Wargame

In this sweltering heat (hello to other countries, congrats on not being here, for many reasons) these fees have near bankrupted me, and only partly because I’m still weaning myself off Workers & Resources. I’ve retreated to something more inviting. A little place that doesn’t charge me upfront, but eases me into a seat and sprays a cooling mist in my face. Legion War is all my brain can handle right now, is what I’m getting at....

Liberated Is A Sort Of Playable Comic Book

But what is Rezzed, without a delicious spread of indie games to go with all of that? Our fabulous VidBuds are busy laying out just such a charcuterie board as we speak, filling the RPS YouTube channel with taster videos for some cool and noteworthy indies. It’s this years digital version of Indies Uncovered, and one game in the pack I’d particularly like to highlight is Liberated. It’s a sort of stealth action thriller, set in the pages of a comic book....

Take your pick from the retailers below: I’ve been a big fan of the G203 Lightsync ever since it came out in June last year. Logitech S New Wireless Headset Has A Big 90S Vibe And I Love It

The G733 Wireless isn’t the only peripheral in Logitech’s new Colour Collection, though, as it’s also being joined by white, black, blue and lilac versions of their excellent G203 and G305 gaming mice, and a white model of their G915 TKL gaming keyboard. Let’s take a look. Launching in September for £130 / $130, I’ll be testing the G733 Lightspeed Wireless in due course, but the thing I’m most looking forward to about this snazzy-looking headset is its new reversible suspension headband....
