We originally only got a look at female Eivor after the original cinematic trailer debut as a collectible statue that honestly doesn’t do her a lick of justice. We did eventually get eyes on her in Alice Bee’s preview in which Eivor got busy with a bloke at a wedding and then immediately forgot his name. It would be fair to say she looks the most ass-kickin’ in the cinematic trailer though....

There are actually two links to Mirage, because this final chapter features more of its protagonist, Basim, who Valhalla persevere-ers will have already met. I bailed after 15 hours and so have very little idea what’s going on, which is a shame because I’d love a chinwag with Shohreh Aghdashloo. The main final mission is the one with Basim bits, which in some spoilerful fashion tie into Eivor coming to terms with her “visions of Odin”....

She’s first given a gliding stone that she’ll need to activate at a nearby temple and a borrowed sand bike to get there on. Although Sable’s starter bike isn’t yet the same sleek, winged thing up top, the rest of the desert and its scenery (and music) are just as lovely as ever....

I’m glad I did. Aztech No Colon Forgotten Gods starts with its weaker foot, showing rough edges right away, but that’s overshadowed by its entertaining movement system. Made by Black Mesa developers Crowbar Collective, the Xen Museum is available on the Steam Workshop. It’s built around a museum hub displaying concept art and plans and such.
