Created by Machinima artist Duren, World Of Cyberpunk is a painstaking shot-by-shot remake of that Cyberpunk 2077 trailer in the high-fantasy steampunk nonsense stylings of Blizzard’s behemoth MMORPG. From jawless make-up artists to helicopter gunfights and board-room murders, every shot in Cyberpunk’s first “proper” trailer gets a suitably high-fantasy analogue. There’s a weird delight in seeing Night City’s streets populated by orcs, goblins and undead clubbers. Famous Warcraft names get a few cameos, too, the weirdest of which has to be Genn “King Of The Werewolves” Greymane slyly chortling as his Worgen doppleganger is zapped to oblivion....

Use Steam Remote Play Together to make friends I could be boring and attach an external controller to it to enable local co-op. Or, I could host the game on the Steam Deck and share it with another player on their phone, even if they don’t own it. Steam Remote Play Together lets you do that. It has to be local multiplayer, but I could conceivably make friends with someone on the train then quietly ask them if they want to have a quick co-op session on my Deck....

After a two-year investigation into the company, DFEH’s lawsuit alleges that Activision Blizzard harboured a “frat boy” culure that involved “male employees drinking and subjecting female employees to sexual harassment with no repercussion.” The filing includes a number of disturbing allegations as well, and Activision Blizzard’s response suggests that these behaviours are in the past. Now in a letter signed by Blizzard employees, which was shared with Bloomberg (watch out for the paywall), staff say the statements made both publicly and internally about the lawsuit are “abhorrent and insulting”, creating “a company atmosphere that disbelieves victims”....

The process of setting Link Game in motion does sound a bit fiddly, in truth. As mentioned above, the person you want to invite into your game will also need a Radeon graphics card inside their PC (sorry Nvidia peeps), and the host will need to send them a code in order for them to connect. It’s a bit of a faff, but if you’ve missed playing local co-op games or splitscreen multiplayer games with your mates this past year, at least AMD owners now have an option to do so while remaining socially distanced....
Alas, AMD weren’t able to provide an exact date for when these APUs would be available to buy separately so existing users can slot them into AMD’s existing 400 and 500-series motherboards, but with APUs ranging all the way from entry-level Ryzen 3 chips right up to powerful Ryzen 7s, the Ryzen 4000 G-Series is definitely worth keeping an eye on if you’re a budget PC builder. First things first, despite these APUs bearing the Ryzen 4000 name, the six G-series chips announced today are still based on AMD’s existing Zen 2 CPU architecture and 7nm manufacturing process, just like the rest of their Ryzen 3000 family....
When I used to watch trucking videos on YouTube, it was states like Montana that I most enjoyed seeing. States with vast, distinctly American landscapes, and lots of mid-sized cities that I’m unlikely to ever find cause to visit in real life. These towns were great for triggering a feeling of wistful longing, and so it is when I see some of those sorts of towns in the trailer above....
Of course, that’s still a lot to spend on what’s effectively two 27in, 2560x1440 monitors mashed together. The main reasons why the AOC is that much cheaper is because this screen ‘only’ has a 120Hz refresh rate instead of a 240Hz one like the G9, and its VESA HDR certification only meets the entry-level DisplayHDR 400 standard rather than the full whack DisplayHDR 1000 experience. The curve of its VA panel isn’t quite as pronounced either, making it easier to see the edges of the screen without craning your neck....
On Tuesday next week, players will be able to drop into Kings Canyon as it was during Season 0, and World’s Edge with its layout from Season 3. This obviously brings back fan-favourite drop spot Skull Town, but it also brings back the actual best thing Apex Legends has ever had: the train! The moving loot-filled train! Unfortunately, a moving train isn’t the best set piece for the 3v3 Arenas mode, so I’ll accept Skull Town for that....
We know Artifact 2.0 (as it’s being referred to internally) plans to combat the original’s biggest complaint by removing cards from the real-money marketplace entirely. But the moment-to-moment card-battling that Matt quite liked is also due a major shakeup. Valve ran through a few cards to demonstrate how the team is rethinking Artifact’s play in a blog post this week. That polished Valve flair is notably absent, mind. With everything in flux, there’s no telling what images should grace Artifact’s reworked card pool....
I’ve been on a real tabletop binge this lockdown, so it’s no wonder the in-game dice ’em up has thoroughly hooked me. The aim of Orlog is to kill your opponent, basically. Both yours and their life is represented by lots of little stones, which you remove each time you take damage. You roll your dice each round to decide what you’re doing, and different symbols on the dice have different effects: you can block damage, deal damage, gather favour from the gods, or pinch your enemy’s favour....
The pictures don’t really do it justice, but having a laptop screen that extends all the way down to the top edge of the keyboard just looks so freakin’ cool. Normally, laptop screens have a much thicker bezel on their lower edge - as you can still see on the Zephyrus S17 further down - but somehow Asus have managed to squeeze every last millimetre out of the M16’s 16in, 2560x1600 display to give it a 94% screen to body ratio....

Despite my misgivings about the chaotic and impractical nature of their build, ol’ DoubleDoubleyou and crew are actually going okay, mainly because all of the NPCs are competent at their roles, and Wonderwall is a decent archer so they can stand at the back and not get in anyone’s way. But as well as going okay, their adventure is also going very slowly, and I am finding this an ideal turn of events....
