Cyberpunk 2077 Bugs Set To Musical Improv

Blindboy has done plenty of this before with Red Dead Redemption 2, playing and mixing live songs while improvising lyrics about things going on around him in game. He does it quite often over on his Twitch channel. For those of us that don’t know him, Matt Cox explained during some of Blindboy’s RDR2 shenanigans this summer that he’s a podcaster and musician and “that Irish guy from the Rubberbandits who wears a bag on his head”....

Darktide Is The Weird Mucky And Spectacle Filled Left 40K Dead I Crave

Where Vermintide took L4D’s co-op horde-slaying into the world of Warhammer Fantasy, Darktide leaps forward into the grim dark future of humanity. A vast industrial hive city is overrun by a cult of Nurgle (the Chaos god of disease and decay), and the needs of the eternal war demand its liberation. We’re not going to clean up Tertium Hive as Space Marines, those fancy augmented boys equipped with humanity’s finest weapons and armour....

Dead Space Remake Devs Confirm That Yep There S A Secret Ending

“Yes! Dead Space will have New Game+ at launch that includes: Level 6 Advanced Suit, New Phantom Variant Necromorphs, Secret Ending,” the account tweeted. It’s not yet clear whether this secret ending that’s part of the New Game Plus is the same as the alternate ending mentioned in the leaked achievements, but we reckon it’s likely they’re probably linked in some way. I don’t like the sound of those new necromorph lads very much, though, even if we do get a new suit to protect ourselves from them....

Dead Space Remake S First Gameplay Trailer Is As Creepy As You Remember

The most immediate change from the 2008 original is that Isaac Clarke, space engineer extraordinaire, isn’t a silent protagonist anymore. He’s still a big brown lump of metal with a soft, squishy human being inside though, albeit with a substantially improved number of polygons sewn in. Speaking of squishy things, the overhauled Necromorphs look and sound bloody terrifying now. I was always a bit freaked out by their body horror weirdness before, but good grief....

Deathloop Creators May Never Make A Linear Campaign Like Dishonored Again And That S Fine

While Dishonored had gently suggested repeat playthroughs with its kill/non-lethal runs, plenty of players still called it a day at the end of their first playthrough. Deathloop needed a more direct approach, its developers tell us. “I was just talking on Twitter about my work on the bank job in Death of the Outsider,” says Dana Nightingale, campaign director at Arkane Lyon. “I feel like to properly experience everything that has to offer, you have to play it at least four times....

Destiny 2 Has Nerfed Hard Light

All auto rifles got big buffs this season, dragging them back from meta obscurity, and Hard Light got extra help because Bungie removed the wild screenshake that had made it downright unpleasant to use. It’s been in a really good place: 600rpm auto rifles are generally great right now; Hard Light had no damage falloff over long ranges; its shots bounce off surfaces and even pick up extra damage after bouncing; and it’s stable when firing....

Digital Dragons Indie Celebration Presents 28 Demos

If you pop over to the event page on Steam, you can peep some play sessions and interviews with developers currently in progress or download one of the 28 demos available for a whirl. For me, a lovely part of this crop is that, unlike some other festivals, it includes quite a few games I’d not yet heard of. Finding something new that looks lovely is always a treat....

Disintegration Review

If only there was as much personality to be found in every other aspect of this hybrid of first-person shooting and light strategy. Romer doesn’t roam alone, you see. You’re joined in your fight by fellow escapees from a sky prison, Doyle, Agnes and Coqui. You swoop about on your Gravcycle shooting enemy robots in first-person, while giving go-there, shoot-that commands to the small squad of on foot soldiers running around below you....

Drift Downstream In Naiad S Steam Next Fest Demo

It’s a game to play with and explore at your own pace. You can go fast, if you want. You can swim at full speed through the whole thing, gun it to the waterfall connecting you to the next level. I don’t know why you would, but you can. I’m here to take it slow, drift around, swim circles and watch my gathered shoal of fish follow me, take in the scenery, find secret spots, and maybe complete a few tasks....

Ea Play Has Arrived On Steam

For starters, EA Play is essentially a rebrand of Origin Access. But, while EA and Valve’s breakup is pretty much over, Steam still isn’t quite getting the whole deal with EA Play, because there’s a Pro version of the service that you can only get on EA’s own platform, Origin, for now. So, Steam’s EA Play will set you back £4/$5 month or £20/$30 a year, and gives you access to a library of slightly older, but still very good games - like The Sims 4, the Mass Effect series, some Need For Speeds, and lots more....

Eastward Review A Stunning But Slow Burning Post Apocalypse Adventure

In this impressive debut from Shanghai developers Pixpil, these humdrum slices of life are placed front and centre, forming much of the narrative backbone that drives the game forward. This is still a game that’s ultimately about saving the world from a mysterious and all-consuming miasma, but it’s also one that makes damn sure you know what you’re doing it all for - and that’s its striking cast of NPCs....

Egx Rezzed Returns In March And We Ll Be There Too

But wait, there’s more! We have a few pairs of tickets to give away this year. EGX Rezzed 2020 will run March 26-28th, yet again at London’s Tobacco Dock in Wapping. Tobacco Dock has a vibe somewhere between ‘secret underground vaults’ and ‘pub beer garden’, as well as a big boat outside. This space is crammed full of games for people to play, both upcoming and out, as well as lots of chairs for sit-down-listening....

Elden Ring Players Are Making Horrific Masterpieces With The Character Creator

When creating characters in other games such as Nioh 2, you’re usually given a little code that you can send to other people so you can share your creations with them. But not here! This is Elden Ring baby! The SoulsSliders subreddit (which was created in 2016 but has, as you can imagine, gone Elden Ring crazy recently) exists to try find a solution to this problem. The rules are pretty simple: “If you post a character, you must post the sliders....

Escape From Tarkov Won T Add Female Playable Characters

Battlestate Games addressed the question of a female player character option on Monday after internauts seeking an answer found a dodgy one in an interview from 2016. Back then, Battlestate’s Pavel Dyatlov told Wccftech they had considered playable warlasses “but we came to the conclusion that women are not allowed to be in the war.” When the interviewer pushed back that women are in the military, Dyatlov gave the remarkable answer: “I can agree with you and we discussed it for a very long time, but we came to the conclusion that women can’t handle that amount of stress....

Every Game From Xbox S Gamescom 2021 Stream

It was not a great showcase, honestly, with little in terms of new games and a big focus on games like Dying Light 2 that we’ve seen a lot of already. There were a couple of new games, however, and some great new Forza Horizon 5 footage. Find it all below. Ex Rainbow Six Siege Devs To Lead New Amazon Game Studio

The Siege devs seem like a good shout for a new online multiplayer project, I just hope they try to make something a little different from what’s already out there. It can’t be easy trying to throw something new into a games space that’s bursting with hero and tactical shooters, I hope they can make one that stands out. The announcement post mentions this new game will be “based on a new IP”, so hopefully that means no Crucible 2, at least....

Fall In Love With The Minecraft Harry Potter Mod In Our Gif Tour

In fact I’d go so far as to say that it’s by far the most impressive Potter game I’ve played. The mod adds quests, wand spells, an inventory, and even broomstick flying. I was taken in by how obsessively detailed it is. It’s set up for you to learn spells and explore Potter’s world like any other student, but I’ve been running around the wizarding world with my eyes wide in wonder like a poor lost muggle....
