The early access beta will run until September 18th at 6pm BST / 1pm ET / 10am PT, at which point the open beta will begin and run until Monday, September 20th at 6pm BST / 1pm ET / 10am PT. No pre-order is required and your progress will carry over to the full game. These betas are, of course, focused on the game’s multiplayer modes. That includes new modes such as the small scale two-player tournaments of Champion Hill, and Patrol, a new mode based on Hardpoint but with a single capture point that is constantly moving across the map....

Elden Ring is due to launch January 21st, 2022. It really does look a lot like Dark Souls, and I am so very okay with that. Ah go on, let’s watch that trailer again. Get the Cooler Master NR200P PC case for $68.99 (was $129.99) I’ve actually built an NR200P system myself recently, and was struck by both how easy it was to assemble and how much stuff you can actually fit inside what is a pretty tiny case. I opted for a B550 motherboard, Nvidia RTX 2080 Super Founders Edition and AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT (with 240mm AiO), and the whole system is super-quiet and well cooled as well, barely ever rising above 70C under load....

Friends And Foes adds more events to your ruler’s everyday existence, which devs Paradox say include “childhood, memories, nemeses, wrangling unruly sons, or wooing your significant other”. You can now become best mates with someone, and both good and bad memories will take on greater importance. These extend all the way back to childhood, with bullies and teenage romantic entanglements rearing their ugly heads. If you don’t pick up the DLC then the base game will still be seeing some overhauls to accommodate memories and a revamp to childhood....

It’s safe to say that golfing games are always full of shenanigans and Cursed To Golf is no different. Playing as a golfer who has been cast into Golf Purgatory, you need to golf your way back to the land of the living, completing all eighteen holes in one roguelike run. It’s a fun premise and the game bursts with silliness and personality, but unfortunately Cursed To Golf fails to iron out certain roguelike frustrations....

We played a single level in Demeo’s first adventure module, The Black Sarcophagus, although when it launches in early access a complete game will stretch to three. Demeo will also have all the other adventures released for the VR version, including the most recent forest-set Roots Of Evil, but The Black Sarcophagus placed us in a creepy stone dungeon and/or crypt. The goal was to find the monster carrying the crypt key, remove the key by force, and then unlock door to the next level....
