Genshin Impact Is Getting A New Region In December

In a blog post, the devs say they’ll do their best to bring an update to Genshin Impact once every six weeks, and each update will come with “its own themed activities”. The first update is expected to arrive on November 11th. That one will usher in the Unreconciled Stars event, though they haven’t said what that event will actually involve. Mihoyo estimates that update two, the one that brings in Dragonspine and its linked event, will drop on December 23rd....

Geoff Keighley Predicts A More Traditional Not E3 This Year With Fewer Showcases From Third Parties

“There were a lot of shows last year where everyone was disappointed when they weren’t really press conferences, right?”, Keighley said. “Like Take-Two, Capcom, Square Enix and things like that.” In case you’ve blocked last June from your memory, I remember Square Enix’s showcase being all right as third-party streams go. It gave us our first look at the highly enjoyable Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, some more news on Life Is Strange: True Colors, and revealed that, err, Babylon’s Fall was actually a live service game all along and not the Nier: Automata successor we’d all been hoping for....

George Orwell S Animal Farm Is Becoming A Video Game

Orwell’s book is a satire of Stalinist Russia, about farm animals who overthrow the farmer, declare equality, run the farm themselves, and slowly slide into violent, decadent, and authoritarian regime. Today’s announcement explains that we’ll be trying to “balance resources, defend the farm, and keep the animal population happy” by following or ignoring the desires of different animals. Which sounds like it’ll have different outcomes, so maybe there’s hope for old Boxer yet....

George R R Martin Still Hasn T Played Elden Ring

Martin also jokes about his “totally addictive personality” stopping him from trying the game. “I did play video games a long, long time ago,” he said, pointing to Railroad Tycoon, Masters of Orion, and Homeworld as examples. “I would get sucked into it and weeks, months would go by. I’d be sitting there in my red flannel bathrobe going, ‘one more game, one more game.’ I had to go cold turkey....

Get 14 Visual Novels While Supporting Black Trans Folks

For starters, you can grab Heaven Will Be Mine, which is one of the best visual novels on PC. Alice Bee quite liked it, speaking with the creator last year on making the most interesting game of 2018. “It’s a story about isolationism, what it means to be human, queer romance, and mech battles where you fight and flirt at the same time,” say the RPS hivemind. “The lore’s fascinating, the multiple endings are great, and despite the branching decisions, it’s not taxing to get through a completed playthrough under your belt....

Get A 17In Lenovo Legion 5 Rtx 3060 Gaming Laptop For 765

Get the Lenovo Legion 5 (17-in) for £765.99 (was £850) The obvious disadvantage with this laptop is that it comes with just a single 8GB stick of RAM, but this is cheaply upgradeable - RAM-maker Crucial can bring you up to 16GB of RAM for £30 (leaving the original stick in place) or 32GB of RAM for £120 (replacing the original stick with a dual-channel kit). Elsewhere, there’s surprisingly little to complain about - the 512GB NVMe SSD can similarly be upgraded down the line, but should provide enough space for the first year or two of ownership, and the other specs are solid....

Get A Super Fast 2Tb Samsung Nvme Ssd For 164

Get the 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus for £163.53 (was £226) The Samsung 970 Evo Plus is capable of more or less maxing out its PCIe 3.0 connection, delivering up to 3500MB/s reads and 3300MB/s writes. It’s rare to see write speeds almost as fast as the read speeds, and random performance is excellent for a PCIe 3.0 drive too. Some PCIe 4.0 drives eclipse the 970 Evo Plus, but even the cheapest of these cost well in excess of £300!...

Gotham Knights Review An Action Rpg Dictated By Dull Numbers And Tired Combat

Gotham Knights is an action RPG set in – surprise, surprise – Gotham City, the former home of Batman who’s not there anymore because he’s upped and died at the hands of a supervillain. This leaves the daily chores to the Batman Family, a foursome dubbed “The Gotham Knights”, who must wrest control back from a city that’s taken advantage of Batman’s sudden disappearance. The Knights are as follows: Red Hood, a large man with extremely defined forearms; Night Wing, who looks like Robert Pattinson’s Batman; Robin, a bit of a dweeb; Batgirl, gets a point for not being another dude of a slightly different stature....

Grounded Will Be Getting Bees And Mosquitoes

Gamepur recently spoke with game director Adam Brennecke. There were no huge revelations, which isn’t surprising at this early stage. The news I’m excited about is that there will be bees (BEES), although there’s no date for that yet. I can wait. They won’t be alone in the sky either, as they’ll be joined by mosquitoes to begin with, and more flying bugs later: Hostile, or at least destructive flying thingies are conspicuous by their absence at the moment, but could become a bit of a nightmare....

Gta Online Is Giving Players 1 000 000 In Fake Money

Log in by November 18th and you’ll qualify for the free GTA$1,000,000, Rockstar say, then you need to log in again between November 19th and 25th to claim it. Sure, GTA Online takes approximately six hours to load and login, but it’s worth getting if you think you might play again. I drop in and out of GTAO every few months but always pop back to grab the giveaways. I’ve bought a lot of comically crap cars with that money....

Guardians Of The Galaxy Didn T Meet Square Enix S Sales Expectations

“Despite strong reviews, the game’s sales on launch undershot our initial expectations,” says Square Enix’s mid-year financial results. “However, sales initiatives that we kicked off in November 2021 and continued into the new year have resulted in sales growth, and we intend to work to continue to expand sales to make up for the title’s slow start.” There’s no mention of exactly what those expectations were, what the sales figures were, or how much they’ve grown since, but it’s clearly not ideal....

Gwent Rogue Mage Is A Single Player Roguelike Based On The Witcher Card Game Out Tomorrow

CDPR chatted with Ian Games Network about Rogue Mage, which is building on the core gameplay of the multiplayer Gwent game released in 2018. “While Gwent multiplayer is a fantastic game for those who are looking for a great PvP multiplayer experience,” game director Vladimir Tortsov said, “we perfectly understand that many Witcher players loved the original mini-game of Gwent for totally different reasons. With Rogue Mage we aim to give this audience a reason to play modern-day Gwent in the format they prefer....

Hades Wont Get Cross Platform Saves At Launch

Cross-play was confirmed back during Hades’ stunning 1.0 launch trailer, letting folks bring their battered PC early access saves to Switch on release. Sadly, it seems that particular feature will lurk in the underworld a little while longer. “We recently announced we’re working on cross-saves for Hades, which will let our early access players transfer their save data to the Nintendo Switch version of the game,” Supergiant tweeted out yesterday....

Handmade Adventure Harold Halibut Looks Intruguing

“It’s been 250 years since your home—an ark-like spaceship—fled an Earth on the verge of cold war to find a habitable planet on which to preserve the human race,” say the developers Slow Bros. “You are Harold, a young lab assistant for the ship’s lead scientist, Jeanne Mareaux. While most of the ship’s inhabitants have reconciled themselves to a life lived aboard the sunken ship, Mareaux still works tirelessly to find a way for the ship to leave the planet and find a new, dryer home....

Have You Played Bugsnax

Thankfully, as you explore the strange Snaktooth Island and begin meeting the Grumpuses who inhabit the place, it becomes abundantly clear the vibes are going to be solid. It’s a lovely little game that has you figuring out how to bring the town back into harmony, and discovering the mystery of the island and of the food-based creatures that are bugsnax. The snax themselves are what I’m here for. I love them all....

Have You Played Liberal Crime Squad

Her deft fingers also helped the Liberal Crime Squad break into multiple factories and offices. She smashed up machines, she took part in unlawful protests against the government. She killed eight people. Rachel Walker is eleven years old. Liberal Crime Squad was my gateway into Dwarf Fortress. As it came from the same creators, that’s not so strange, and they have a few common threads. LCS is more openly satirical, as your revolutionaries fight a right-wing US government by proselytising, blackmailing, and occasionally kidnapping and torturing citizens of one of its cities....

Then I saw a load of side missions unlocked and I started over again. And then again. And again. And again. Like a more po-faced Hitman, Ground Zeroes lets you figure out your approach, rather than directing you down a set path. At the beginning of the mission you know what you have to do, and where you have to do it, but how you get in there and complete your task is up to you....

Have You Played Painkiller Black Edition

Why did I decide Painkiller would be the first game I played on my handheld PC? For the same reason I bought it in the first place, I suppose: I have no fucking clue mate. My guess is that it appeared to be a throwaway shooter from the mid-00s that had yet to be tested on the Deck by Valve themselves, something I found tantalising as a fresh-faced Deck owner....

Have You Played Ultra Street Fighter Iv

The original Street Fighter IV was seen as a revival of a dying genre back in 2009. To entice people back the original roster had almost all of the original Super Street Fighter II fighters, along with a handful of new faces. All of this helped retain a familiar feel, despite the visual changes and new moves that each character could use. On the whole, it resonated with the fighting game community and became the marquee game of Evolution tournaments (or EVO as it’s more commonly known) for years....
