Bandai Namco teased a new instalment in the Tekken series during EVO last month, so it’s not that surprising one’s cropped up now. They say they’re aiming to be “immersive” with Tekken 8, which continues the story following Heihachi Mishima’s defeat. This time around it’s dads against lads, with Jin Kazama facing down the dastardly Kazuya Mishima. He’s angling after world domination, see. Not sure that’s achievable just by punching things very hard, but okay....

Dontnod announced the investment today, a total of €30 million (about £26.5 million) which they say “will mainly be used to finance the ramp-up of Dontnod’s strategy to develop new self-published intellectual properties worldwide on PC, consoles and mobile platforms”. The two companies have also signed a business cooperation agreement. “This is a real expression of trust from a key online game leader, which is behind a number of success stories and has invested in several leading companies in the video game industry,” says Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert....

Journey’s End is a doozy of an update, with a proper novel-length changelist to trawl through over on the Terraria forums. Don’t like how your minimap or health and mana bars look? Now you can change ’em. Feel like trying some lava fishing? Sounds dangerous, but now it’s doable. Want your expensive Razer Chroma keyboard to light up like a fireworks show every time you dig a hole? Yup, that’s supported too....

One of the first community-made wallpapers I found? Shrek, the movie, in its entirety. Available from the Steam Workshop, it’s titled ‘The entire Shrek movie but on Wallpaper Engine’. It’s rated five starts with 342 ratings, and it’s a 92MB download. I’m watching it right now on my other monintor as I write this post. It works. It seems to be the whole movie, sound and all. It works with my Corsair keyboard’s iCue LED lights, so they change colour as the movie changes....
